Michelle Kelly, Head Coach, CSCS

I have bachelors of science in exercise science from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. I am a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the national strength and conditioning association. My experience has given me a vast knowledge in all different types of settings from athletic performance to post rehabilitation and everything in between. All programs are designed for each individual so they are unique to you.

As a coach, my education comes largely from the school of life. With a family history of all the big diseases, I spent more than half of my life obese, only occasionally active, and often hating myself. After the birth of my third child, I decided that in order to really take care of my family, I had to take care of myself. Through my transformation, I have lost 75 pounds, but gained so much more – health, confidence, love of fitness, love of myself, good nutritional habits, Training for Warriors Level One and Two Certifications, and a passion to spread those gains to anyone ready to make their own transformation.

I grew up playing and loving volleyball and softball.  This love gave me an appreciation for practicing and learning about body movement.  Although I have always been interested in health and fitness, in college I decided to go to school for Child and Family Services.  After working in that industry for several years I started training at Training For Warriors Boone, Iowa.  In doing so I renewed my passion for fitness and ultimately I decided to get my TFW Level 1 Certification.  My next goal is to become a Certified Personal Trainer.  I know from personal experience how hard it is to start a health & fitness journey and then stay motivated to stick with it.  I am excited to start helping others with their journey!
